Sandie Parker is a Cookbook author and a syndicated recipe columnist for newspapers and websites. She is a summar live-aboard on the "Nice 'N' Nauti" at her home port, the Edward C. Grace Memorial Harbor in Elk Rapids, Michigan.
She has won many cooking contests and has judged others. Two of her favorite award winning recipes, "Louisiana Style Chili" and "Chocolate Lover Brownie Squares", are in her cook book.
She also works at the harbor designing and planting the flower gardens and landscape islands. Her newest project is an herb garden for the boaters.
Sandie is from Michigan and worked most her life in the restaurant business. Her love for cooking took off when she met her mentor, Chef Carl Tanner. He taught her to think "outside the box" and together they made a great team working at the Country Club. His encouragement helped her develop her creative talents.
Cooking is more than a career for her, it is a passion, as is her life with her husband, six adult children and 3 grand children. She says: "Many of our best family memories have been made while sharing special meals together. I hope these recipes will also bring you, your family and friends wonderful meals and good times.…..on a boat or anywhere!"
